Aspen Grove

We had a wonderful time at Aspen Grove this year! Here is a pictorial overview of our week! Walking around camp, getting oriented View from the dining hall Waiting for church to start. The surroundings were almost more inspirational than the speakers.

Monday afternoon at Aspen Follies. We teamed up with 2 families from Arizona. We didn't win but we had fun. We had to make the letters, BYU, on the hill. Pretty good! 15 yrs ago Mark laid down the sod on this field. We love coming back! Everytime we go to Utah we go to Granny's in Heber City for their amazing shakes! Brenna and her class swimming with their counselor Devon. He was great with the kids. Mark, Steve and Eric played in the 3 on 3 tournament. They got second..they lost to some small teenage boys. According to Mark, they just couldn't miss. The staff teased them about this at the closing show awards. It was funny!:) Brett got to go on the ropes course for the first time! He loved it! This what Mark did when we worked here. He went up this week in 41seconds. Not bad! :)
This is Karlee doing the climbing tower. Bren did it too but the video is sideways. Oops! The view, looking toward Sundance, from the trail to Stewart Falls Wednesday, Kent came up to visit and we hiked to Stewart Falls. 19 yrs ago Cyndie fell down this waterfall on a blind date. This was the first time she'd been back. Mark next to the falls. There was alot more water than 2 yrs ago. At the family dance Brenna and her cousin, Xander, became good friends during the week. We, of course, played games every chance we got. This is Steve and Tori playing Zonk. We even got Ginger to play TWO games of Settlers with us. But she says she'll deny it. :) Karlee with her 2 counselors, Todd and Ashley and some friends. Ashley was Bren's counselor 2 yrs ago. Karlee loved Todd. She said he was her favorite boy! That is quite the compliment. Tori and I had fun doing pottery. This is before we started. Afterwards we were covered in clay. :) Here are all the cousins!! They had a great time being together! Wish the rest of the Snows could have been with us too! Here is the view of camp from paintball field (the guys played this and had fun!) Tori and I did the GPS course and the last place landed us up here. I couldn't resist trying to capture this on video. When I point it's to where our cabin is on the other side of the hill. !
We stayed with Eric and Ginger for 4th of July. Kent met us for fireworks! All set to watch fireworks..with half of Utah county. Playing Zonk while we wait. Doesn't he look like a happy camper?! Bren and Jonah playing with glow sticks! Yes, it rained on us...just barely. Karlee fell asleep in the car on the way there and wouldn't wake up until right before the finale. We brought Xander home with us for a visit. They did great on the way home!!! It was a great vacation!
