Fall Ball

In a moment of delusion last month I signed Brett up for fall ball. :) Everyone said fall ball was easier, less intense, a more relaxed atmosphere. It is all those things for the boys...for the moms it's not. 2 games and a one practice a week except now you get to travel! But really, he is enjoying this experience very much. He is one of, if not, the oldest boys so is able to lead the younger boys who are there to learn what minors is all about before spring ball. This coach is playing all the kids in all positions so he has had the chance to pitch. He stuck some kids out so he was stoked. They are learning hand signals and it's fun to se him soak it up. He still excels at 2nd base. He played two games on Sat, back to back. He helped out another Lincoln team who needed players and then had his real game so by the end he was tired. The second game in the second to last inning they were outfield. He was at second, the batter whacked it and the ball went straight for Brett. He just stuck his glove out and got the kid out! His friends were jumping up and down and tackled him and he really liked that. :) He's had some great hits and is really getting better. Last year he didn't play any sports between seasons and he was noticably rusty the first month. We are hoping to avoid that this year.
