Sunday with Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa always invite us to watch General Conference with them. We enjoy listening to the prophet and the singing and sharing time together. We had a nice lunch and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We got to meet Minnie their new bottle-fed baby goat. She is very sweet and Brenna particarly liked her.

You can see how small she is here. She is next to Tonks, the monster cat.

We took her out to the goat pasture so she could enjoy the sunshine.

Minnie needs to get used to walking on uneven ground and get to know the other goats. Sugar was very mothering and wouldn't let the other goats meet her. Sugar kept a keen eye on Minnie even when Karlee and Bren were playing with her. Minnie liked to follow and run after the girls. They really enjoyed that.

The inate knowledge given to animals to survive is amazing. Minnie likes to stand inbetween someone's legs to drink out of the bottle. Her mom never fed her, she's always been bootle-fed, so why does she do this? Sugar has never had a baby of her own yet she mothers Minnie. She is very careful were she steps, cleans Minnie and watches out for her. She knows Minnie is a baby. Animals are truly another witness that there is a God and He, in his wisdom, created all things.

I love the spring up here. I love the green!! Days like this make me think God made grass and trees so beautiful just for me!!

The kids had a blast with the go cart. I think this was the first time the little girls had been on it.

I am so grateful for the beautiful, relaxing day spent listening to God's servants and enjoying His creations with those I love.

We always love having you come! Being together for General Conference each time makes for such wonderful family memories - I'm really glad we do this. Our "Family Dinners" (which Tate says we should call "Part Family Dinners")are great memory makers too!
