Tie Dying

10 things we learned about tie dying......
1- it takes 2 days for the dye to wash off your fingers
2- do ALL of it outside or your sink will become very pretty
3- if kids are 'helping', make sure you stand behind them so when their aim is off it doesn't get you
4- be prepared to do even more laundry. you have to wash the items before and after (you know how much I don't like laundry)
5- remember.... blue+yellow=green; blue+pink=purple; pink+yellow=orange
6- blue+yellow+green+pink+purple = a muddy ugly brownish color
7- do not wear white while doing this activity
8- it's a good idea to do one 'practice' item first. this helps eliminate crying later
9- it's ok to have some white on the item...do not use all the dye on one item. this also helps eliminate crying later
10- bleach has to work harder on this dye than it does on kool-aid

It sounds like you learned these things by experience and "they were all for your good!" It's always fun to look back at something and laugh about it - right!
